Electrical / Control Engineer.

Broadbent Ltd is a long established designer and manufacturer of separation equipment used is a wide variety of industries world-wide. We are seeking an electrical & control engineer to work on the design, production and test of our extensive range of products.

The range of electrical and control engineering skills employed in the company are:

• PLC and DCS control systems for centrifuges & ancillary systems for solid liquid separation used in the food, minerals and industrial laundry applications. In addition systems for use in hazardous areas with ATEX and SIL requirements are supplied to the bulk chemicals and pharmaceutical industries.
  
  Geotechnical research centrifuge.
• Data acquisition, logging and control systems for specialist geotechnical research machines. Typical users include the university research community and large civil engineering contractors.
  
  
• Interpretation of customer specification leading to integration into control and instrumentation systems applying machinery safety directive and hazardous area international standards.
  
  
• Manufacture of specialist induction motors (120-500kW).
  
  
• Production of engineering and quality documents for customer approval.
  
  
• Specification and use of high power four quadrant inverter systems.
  

An ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the skills required for this work and have a willingness to travel to client sites overseas from time to time. Candidates with some experience together with an enthusiasm to accept training will also be welcome.

The salary will be consistent with the market rates and be dependent on the skill level of the successful candidate.
